Description

Dolton catalog #BST 8003 in stereo on the first press powder blue label from 1960. The record surfaces look almost unplayed. The cheesecake jacket has no ring wear on either side with a very slight seam split at the top. This is the album that started it all for the Ventures, their very first LP cut in 1960. The sound is stellar as they always managed to get a wonderful presence and dynamics out of their early recordings. Recorded back when the studios used vacuum tube consoles and tape recorders, the sound is warm and liquid with great dynamics, qualities missing from most of today's modern recordings. If you are an audiophile and a fan of instrumental guitar music, this is a must-have for your collection. Considering this LP is now over 50 years old, you will be amazed at its condition and you will love the music.
