Description
USA 6-LP vinyl record box set by The Velvet Underground titled "The Quine Tapes V. 1-3".
Released in 2010, reissue, mono, includes poster, replica handbill and shrink wrap sticker.
Includes three double albums packaged in gatefold covers. All box and cover artwork is "distressed" - the tape, cover wear, etc. is printed.
Historical document 1960's recordings by Robert Quine, V.U. fan and guitarist for Richard Hell & The Voidoids, he also played in Dim Stars and Material and with Ikue Mori, Marc Ribot, Jody Harris, Fred Maher and other NYC musicians.
These are very low-fi recordings, they sound awful compared to modern live recordings but the historical value is priceless. This item is not for the casual V.U. fan, it's only for V.U. vinyl collectors that must have everything. Contains extended jams (Sister Ray, White Light/White Heat, New Age, etc.) and previously unreleased material (Follow The Leaders).
