Description
Condition of Jacket/Cover: VG+, light surface wear Condition of Vinyl Record: VG+, a few light visible marks You will find a picture embedded here which shows the source of the Skull and Cross Bones tattoo which is the source of the front album art. The photo is a still from Andy Warhol's "BikeBoy" Billy Name who worked at the Factory showed some photos to Lou Reed when he was looking for a suitable image for the Velvet Underground's next album. He spotted this photo and decided it was what he wanted. The person with the Tattoo is Joe Spencer the star of "BikeBoy" Some information on the web has it that the tattoo was on Billy Nmaes arm but that is incorrect. The album cover to White Light/White Heat is a faint image of a tattoo of a skull. The subtle picture of the tattooed arm was photographed, enlarged and distorted by Billy Name, one of Warhol's "Factory" members. It is difficult to distinguish the tattoo, as the image is black, printed on a slightly lighter black background.
