MEGA RARE!! Velvet Underground LP. Original 1967 UK.

Very earliest FIRST PRESSING!! Verve “Patents Pending”
Yes folks this is it; Velvet Underground with Nico Lp. This is their FIRST UK album produced by Andy Warhol in its RAREST MONO format. This album turned the rock music world on its head when it was first released. Impossible to find in any condition. You would be hard pressed (no pun intended) to find one better than this. This is one RARE album.
NOTE: All my records in this listing were bought as new by one lady owner when first released.
COVER: First print Flip-Back Garrod and Lofthouse “Patents Pending”. Superb. Clean and bright. Totally legible spine. Tiny bump at bottom right, otherwise square. Back is lovely and bright with just the merest hint of a light, clean water stain. See scans. EX+ at least.
VINYL: Amazing. Still retains its just pressed mirror like glossy sheen and is perfectly flat with no warps, skips or jumps. Side one has a tiny thin scuff, almost invisible. Two similar ones on side two. But, definitely no stylus marks. Graded; a very strong EX++.
LABELS: Totally unmarked and quite superb. KT Tax code. Literally two spindle trails on side two. None on side one. Beautiful and rare.

STAMPERS: SIDE ONE: 1 R
SIDE TWO: 1 R making this one of the very earliest off the press.
INNER SLEEVE: Plain white “Patents Applied For” as issued in these very earliest prints.
AUDIO: As you would expect from vinyl this good. Quite superb. Should be played loud to enjoy the fabulous fury of these thundering MONO sounds.
To sum up. Albums as rare as this and as good as this do NOT appear with any degree of constant regularity. This is one of those albums you wish you could get your hands on, and hope that it has not been trashed as so many have been. This example, as with all my records in this listing came from one lady owner’ s private collection. It has been very cared for and definitely not overplayed. This album is definitely a MUST HAVE ALBUM of the very best quality, and would certainly be a great addition to any existing collection. The sounds are superb and truly classic. This rare album does not surface very often, so don’t miss out. Grab yourself a large slice of great musical history - and enjoy!!
