On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Velvet Underground called "Velvet Underground" and is an ORIGINAL UK 1969 1st Pressing on the 1st Press MGM label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS EASILY THE VELVET UNDERGROUND'S RAREST UK LP EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1969 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED IN THE UK - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL, IS THAT IT IS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE, WITH A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MIX (AND COVER!) - COMPARED TO ALL LATER PRESSINGS!!!!  AND THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!  STRAIGHT AFTER THIS LP WAS RELEASED - PRODUCTION WAS QUICKLY HALTED (AS THE BAND WERENT HAPPY WITH THE MIX!) AND IT WAS THEN COMPLETELY CHANGED ON ALL LATER PRESSINGS!!!!  ONLY THE ULTRA RARE 1ST PRESSINGS FROM 1969 EVER HAD THIS ULTRA RARE 'DIFFERENT MIX' AND THEY ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND ARE VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS ULTRA RARE 1ST PRESSING HAS A FLIPBACK LAMINATED COVER (LATER ONES DONT!), AND ALSO THE PICTURE ON THE REVERSE OF THE COVER IS SPLIT HORIZONTALLY (ON LATER PRESSINGS THIS WAS CHANGED TO VERTICALLY)!!!!  SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST 1ST PRESSING ON THIS INCREDIBLE LP - THAT YOU CAN POSSIBLY GET!!!!

THIS LP IS MADE EVEN RARER STILL - AS IT IS AN ULTRA RARE 'FACTORY SAMPLE' 1ST PRESSING (AND IS 100% GENIUNE - COMING FROM THE SAME COLLECTION OF OTHER 'FACTORY SAMPLES' I ALSO HAVE LISTED THIS WEEK!)!!!!  AND AGAIN, THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!  'FACTORY SAMPLE' PRESSINGS WERE ONLY EVER PRESSED IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS (NO MORE THAN A HUNDRED COPIES AT THE VERY MOST!), AND WERE ONLY EVER USED FOR 'IN-HOUSE' USE BY EMI / MGM THEMSELVES (FOR PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES), 'EMPLOYEE' COPIES ('STICKERED' TO STOP RE-SALE), OR VERY OCCASSIONALLY ONE WAS GIVEN OUT TO 'IMPORTANT VISITORS' TO THE FACTORY - SUCH AS PROSPECTIVE CLIENTS FOR EXAMPLE!!!!  'FACTORY SAMPLES' WERE NEARLY ALWAYS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS EVER MADE (AS IN THIS CASE!) - AND ARE TRULY EXCEPTIONALLY HARD TO FIND TODAY, AS BARELY ANY EXIST!!!!  BARELY ANY 'FACTORY SAMPLE' 1ST PRESSINGS OF THIS LP WERE EVER MADE - MAKING THIS LP OF THE UTMOST RARITY!!!!

The record labels (see pictures) have NO writing, NO stickers, NO tears, and some wear around the centre holes indicating that this record has been played a few times!!!!  The vinyl is still VERY bright & shiny looking indeed - and still plays through FINE - with NO sticks and NO jumps AT ALL!!!!  However, although 1 side is VERY nice indeed (and would easily grade Very Good+ if not better!) the other side does have a few visible lines / marks. That said, it still plays through with NO sticks, NO jumps, only a few VERY light clicks (though mostly NONE!), barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some typical audible background sound on the run on grooves & gaps - NOT in the music AT ALL!!!!   The actual sound quality itself is simply SUPERB - with NO groovewear & NO distortion either!!!!  So with this record playing through FINE, with NO sticks and NO jumps AT ALL, one side of the record visually grading Fair, and the other side grading Very Good+ if not better - I think an overall grading of Good is appropriate. And despite the visual lines on 1 side - this record is VERY RARE INDEED, is still VERY bright and shiny looking, and plays through FINE (with the audible background sound as detailed above), with NO jumps and NO sticks AT ALL!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Garrod & Lofthouse' Flipback Laminated Cover is in GREAT condition!!!!  It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), NO rips, NO tears, only a few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking!), NO splits, NO annotations, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!!  Even the unlaminated back of the cover is in GREAT condition with NO grubbyness, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, NO yellowing, a few light creases to the flipbacks, NO sticker marks, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade Very Good (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better - and is still a very VERY decent cover indeed!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE (AS BARELY ANY WERE EVER MADE!) - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
