On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Velvet Underground called "Velvet Underground" and is an ORIGINAL UK 1969 1st Pressing on the 1st Press MGM label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS EASILY THE VELVET UNDERGROUND'S RAREST UK LP EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1969 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED IN THE UK - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL - IS THAT IT HAS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MIX - WHICH ALL LATER PRESSINGS SIMPLY NEVER HAD!!!!  AFTER THIS LP WAS RELEASED - PRODUCTION WAS QUICKLY HALTED (AS THE BAND WERENT HAPPY WITH THE MIX!) AND IT WAS THEN COMPLETELY CHANGED ON ALL LATER PRESSINGS!!!!  ONLY THE ULTRA RARE 1ST PRESSINGS FROM THE 'DAY OF RELEASE' BACK IN 1969 EVER HAD THIS ULTRA RARE 'DIFFERENT MIX' AND THEY ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS (ONLY A FEW HUNDRED COPIES AT THE VERY MOST!)!!!!  AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHY YOU ALMOST NEVER SEE ONE TODAY!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS ULTRA RARE UK 1ST PRESSING HAS A FLIPBACK LAMINATED COVER (LATER ONES DONT!), 'SOLD IN THE UK' LABEL TEXT (LATER ONES DONT!), 1G/1G MATRIX ENDINGS (LATER ONES DONT!), AND ALSO THE PICTURE ON THE REVERSE OF THE COVER IS SPLIT HORIZONTALLY (ON LATER PRESSINGS THIS WAS CHANGED TO VERTICALLY)!!!!  SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST 1ST PRESSING ON THIS INCREDIBLE LP - THAT YOU CAN POSSIBLY GET!!!!

BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP EVEN RARER STILL - IS THAT IT IS AN ULTRA RARE 'FACTORY SAMPLE' 1ST PRESSING!!!!  'FACTORY SAMPLE' 1ST PRESSINGS WERE ONLY EVER PRESSED IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS (NO MORE THAN A FEW HUNDRED COPIES ONLY!), AND WERE ONLY EVER USED FOR 'IN-HOUSE' USE BY MGM THEMSELVES (FOR PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES), SENT TO RADIO STATIONS OR REVIEWERS AT THE TIME (FOR PROMOTION), OR VERY OCCASSIONALLY ONE WAS GIVEN OUT TO 'IMPORTANT VISITORS' TO THE FACTORY - SUCH AS PROSPECTIVE CLIENTS FOR EXAMPLE!!!!  THEY WERE NEARLY ALWAYS ONE OF THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS EVER MADE (AS IN THIS CASE!) - AND ARE NOW ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  AND OF COURSE, YOU CAN NEVER BEE 100% CERTAIN THAT THEY WERE ON THIS LP FROM NEW (UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FULL LPs HISTORY!).  THOUGH IN THIS CASE, I HAVE EXAMINED THE STICKER VERY CAREFULLY INDEED - AND IT IS 100% GENIUNE (NOT A RE-PRINT!), AND THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE OF 'RE-STICKING' AND NO GLUE MARKS EITHER!!!!  THE STICKER IS ALSO 100% FLAT TO THE TOUCH TOO (NO CREASES ETC!) - LEADING ME TO STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT IT HAS BEEN ON THIS LP FROM NEW, AND THE STICKER ITSELF IS DEFINITELY 100% GENIUNE IN ALL RESPECTS!!!!  BARELY ANY 'FACTORY SAMPLE' PRESSINGS OF THIS LP WERE EVER MADE - MAKING THIS LP ONE OF THE RAREST VELVET UNDERGROUND LPs EVER MADE!!!!

HOWEVER, ALTHOUGH THIS IS CERTAINLY A REASONABLY PRESENTABLE EXAMPLE (NO STICKS, NO JUMPS, NO RIPS, NO TEARS, ETC!), AND CERTAINLY VERY PLAYABLE INDEED - THERE ARE A FEW DETAILS TO NOTE (SEE BELOW!)!!!!  THAT SAID - WHEN DID YOU LAST SEE ONE?  AND THIS IS A VERY VERY RARE CHANCE INDEED FOR SOMEONE TO OWN THIS INCREDIBLE LP AT A CHEAPER PRICE THAN THE HUGE FORTUNE REQUIRED TO OWN A MINT COPY!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1969 UK 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING ON THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS MGM LABEL, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'SOLD IN THE UK' LABEL TEXT, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 1G/1G MATRIX ENDINGS, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS DIFFERENT MIX(!), 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS FLIPBACK LAMINATED 'GARROD & LOFTHOUSE' COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL MGM UK 1st Pressing from 1969 and is SERIOUSLY rare in EVERY respect!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is CS 8108 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press MGM label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO writing, NO wear, and a few light spindle marks!!!!  The vinyl at first glance looks GREAT and is REALLY bright and shiny looking!!!!  However - under light there are a few small marks & hairlines, though generally this record is still VERY pleasing to the eye!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!!  Importantly the record plays with NO major defects - with NO sticks, NO skips, and NO jumps!!!!  There are a few clicks/pops, and some background crackle - but I played this end to end, and still found it a VERY decent listen!!!!  There is also NO hiss AT ALL!!!!  And the actual sound quality itself is still VERY nice indeed, with NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!!  So in short - this record is still VERY bright & shiny looking, has a few lines/marks under light, and has NO sticks and NO jumps!!!!  The record must grade Good if not better - though it is still a VERY bright & shiny example, that plays through fine!!!!  Of course everyone would love a Mint copy of this LP, but just ask yourself - when did you EVER see another one of these????  And this is such a very VERY rare chance indeed, for someone to own this AMAZING LP at a cheaper price than the £500+ needed to accquire a MINT copy!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Garrod & Lofthouse' Flipback Laminated Cover is still VERY solid and presentable - with NO major structural defects AT ALL!!!!  Essentially it is similar to the record, having NO major defects - and is showing other signs of age (see below).  It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), NO annotations, only some very VERY minor evidence of 'tipping in' to the corners, VERY shiny laminate, only 2 or 3 TINY indentations, NO rips, NO tears, and NO writing!!!!  The main issue with the cover front is that there is plenty of creases - though this is mainly confined to the edges and the cover is still flat looking!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering!!!!  The unlaminated back of the cover has NO grubbyness, some creasing to the flipbacks, only 2 VERY small 'touched in' marks (these are hard to notice and easy to overlook!), barely ANY rubbing, only 2 or 3 TINY 'age spots', barely ANY yellowing, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must MEGA STRICTLY grade Fair+ (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better - and is still VERY solid & presentable, with only the creasing stopping a higher grading!!!!  PLEASE NOTE - I GRADE STRICTLY!!!!  I have seen covers graded 'VG' like this!!!!  But this cover HAS NO MAJOR STRUCTURAL DEFECTS AT ALL - it is just quite creased - THAT IS ALL!!!!  It is certainly still very VERY useable, and will serve as a VERY decent useable solid cover for many MANY years to come!!!!  THIS LP ALMOST NEVER COMES UP FOR SALE (AS A UK 1ST PRESSING WITH THE DIFFERENT MIX!) AND IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
