Description
This is an ORIGINAL 1967 VERVE RECORDS U.S. STEREO VINYL LP (NOT A RECENT REISSUE) titled 'The Velvet Underground And Nico' from alternative music pioneers The Velvet Underground. It is Verve Records U.S. catalog number V6-5008, blue labels, gatefold cover with yellow banana paste over on front cover torn in top area but intact and attached, and with torso in back cover photo airbrushed out.
Tracks:
Condition of record is VG+ with a small to moderate amount of visible surface marks which cannot be flt and do not affect play; record plays with some very light scattered surface crackle. Labels have a couple of very light spindle marks, no other real flaws. Condition of cover is a high VG / low VG+ with the main flaw being some evidence of slight damage from moisture and a little mildew staining near the lower right corner of the front cover and the lower left corner of the back cover; cover also has some fraying and splits along the left side of the top edges of both gatefolds, some small wrinkles, some ring and contact wear, and some general wear along the edges and on the corners. Yellow banana paste over has a tear near its top but is still attached to the cover as can be seen in my accompanying image. This sought after banana cover LP would be a choice addition to any Velvet Underground or alternative rock record collection! Media mail postage within the U.S. is $4.00.
