I don't really want to sell this one, but times are hard... This is the original mono pressing w/ the Eric Emerson torso on the back cover. It has the peelable banana sticker - the whole sticker is there. It appears that the top stem part of the banana was peeled back and torn, and then stuck back in place. This happened before I owned the record. The stem is securely stuck to the cover and is alined properly w/ the rest of the banana, but the tear is visible. Other than that, the gatefold jacket is in excellent shape. There are NO tears or splits anywhere and the spine text is bold and clearly legible. Shelf/ring wear exists, but is pretty minimal. The liner notes on the inside of the cover are also in beautiful condition - still very clean and "white". Ok, on to the VINYL: The record is not perfect. But, it's not terrible. It is nice and flat (NO warping). There are indeed a lot of small light surface scratches on both sides. There are also some small deep scratches that you can feel w/ a fingernail. Overall, the record plays fairly well and sounds good. There is definitely a consistent "crackle" throughout both sides, and the occasional "pop", but it plays through WITHOUT skipping or jumping. Blue/silver labels look excellent, NO markings or stickers. The original Verve paper inner sleeve is included and is in decent shape, but has a 2" split at the bottom. I've been keeping the record in a nice high quality anti-static V.R.P Discwasher inner sleeve which will be included. A new outer plastic sleeve will also be included. When packing/shipping the record I will ship the LP outside of the cover to avoid seam splitting. If you have any questions feel free to send a note. Thanks for checking this out!!
