You are bidding on a MEGA RARE THE VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO 1ST PRESS LP MONO V5008 BY VERVE RECORDS with peelable banana and an upside down male torso of male model Eric Emerson, This is the original torso cover which was quickly withdrawn because of a lawsuit threat.
I personally purchased this record from New York during early 80's
This is not the later version with a black sticker on the back, as you can see there is no sticker mark on the back of the album cover - the " TORSO " image looks NICE AND CLEAN.
Sleeve : Nice and clean over all, it seems the previous owner has tried to peel the banana sticker and stick it back with a bit of the tape, you will see some colour mark when you open the gatefold sleeve, an approximately 4cm spin at the bottom of the sleeve.
Media : Side 1 - Very shinny and clean, a long hairline across side 1 but only notable ( unfeelable ) when you hold it under a strong bright light. A serious scratch ( see picture with a red arrow ) on the 1st track Sunny Morning that cause a BIG jump/skip. Side 2 - Very shinny and clean, only a light notable ( unfeelable ) scratch ( 4cm approximately ) between the 1st and 2nd track which doesn't really effect the play.
