The Velvet Underground & Nico -"Self Titled" MONO 1st Pressing on Verve V-5008 from 1967, and has the rare original "torso" cover.
Record Grade: VG++, record is in great condition, full gloss, a few minor surface marks. Playback is excellent with full fidelity. There is some occasional light background noise heard mostly in the quiet areas.
Cover Grade: VG++- (WITH A BIG QUALIFIER). The gatefold cover is in excellent condition with minor wear AND it is the ORIGINAL TORSO COVER .....BUT, as you can see, the banana has been peeled and is no longer with us. I realize that if the banana were fully intact this record would be worth quite a bit more.
Light wear at top seam, but all seams are intact...no splits. Printing on spine is all there and nice. Back is nice. You should be able to see everything in the photos.
Inside of cover is beautiful, but I have included a close up of a sticker from a record store that was placed inside.
The original inner sleeve is in great condition, with just a small wrinkle in it.
NOTABLES: This is an original 1st pressing of this RARE and highly sought after Lp released in 1967. Has the withdrawn 'TORSO' back cover which makes it MORE RARE and it is in MONO which makes it the MOST RARE stock version.
Labels are in excellent condition having no spindle marks. On top of all this, musically.....IT'S A GREAT ALBUM!!!!
