One of the most beautiful LP's I've never heard!
Vashti Bunyan's "Just Another Diamond" 1970, UK/Philipps 6308 019 (SBL PRICE CODE). Record is near Mint / excellent. The unlaminated gatefold cover is in a VG++ /excellent condition;it has a small price cut out on the frontside and some very fine paperbreaks (see pictures) but for a or a 49 years old record it looks great.
Has the Inner Sleeve with the British Patent No. 800513 & 973939 / Made in England No3 0171 and a stamp from "Catapilla" 8, Well Street, Exeter, Record Exchange".
It is a female psychedelic Folk Rock LP by the mysterious Vashti Bunyan who had been briefly courted by major-labels in the mid-60s issuing one-off singles for Decca and Columbia.Instead to make LP's she rode off in a horse-drawn wagon to live like a gipsy. A few years later she took up on a offer and recorded this mega-rare collection record of. Original folk-pop songs, backed by Fairport Convention and Incredible String Band members. This is probably the rarest record ever issued on Philipps in Great Britain. Like Czar and the Open Mind.
