VARIOUS

Point Of Origin Vol 1 (double 12")

Shogun Audio

Cat: SHA 097. Rel: 14 Sep 15
Drum And Bass

Side 1. Ed:It - Centre Suite Side 2. Zero T - One For Me Side 3. Posij - Shieldbreaker Side 4. Karma - Saturation Point

A brand new album series from Shogun, Point Of Origin was established purely to celebrate innovation at drum & bass's very forefront. The entire collection is stunning but here, for the vinyl release, they've picked four of the best; Ed:It's string seeping "Centre Suite" is an emotional roller that coasts with timeless sunny-side charm, Zero T (who makes his return to the label after many many years) lays down his trademark scuffed soul on "One For Me" while Dutch up-and-comer Posij lays down the perfect hissy-fit bassline over a razor-sharp turbo-charged two-step. Finally Karma closes the show with the high-energy jump-up hybrid 'Saturation Point'. Funky.
