Description
Original pressing of VAN MORRISON - Astral Weeks -- WS 1768 -- 1968 Warner Bros. Records USA. The label and jacket indicate that this is the Warner Bros. 2nd issue, as the W7 Seven Arts is the 1st, however, the stamper matrix has a -1B suffix on both sides in the dead wax, which is a first pressing. My reference for this is a white label promo on the W7 label, which is definitely a first pressing and also has the same -1B suffix in the stamper matrix of the dead wax (trail-off portion of the vinyl). So, this is definitely an original pressing. This is a legendary album, one of the greatest of its era, and one that every serious music lover should hear at least once. Vinyl is VG++ …equivalent to excellent on some grading scales ...a visible scuff that does not interfere with play and a couple of other light marks ...audio is excellent, and sound just like my white label promo copy. Sleeve/jacket is VG ...ring wear, some splitting on the spine, corner wear. LP enclosed in original Warner/Reprise inner sleeve. I am an audiophile and have extensive experience grading, so bid with confidence. Low opening bid. FREE SHIPPING in the continental USA. International bidders are welcome, but will pay for shipping. Serious bidders only, please. Thank you! Please check my other current auctions for more LPs and CDs.
