VAN MORRISON Astral Weeks
EXTREMELY RARE EARLY COPY - very few were issued
ORIGINAL FIRST UK PRESS, EARLY RUN
UK STEREO WARNER BROS LP
VINYL IN EXCELLENT CONDITION
1968

HOLY GRAIL!!! FOR VAN MORISSON'S FANS AND UK PRESSINGS COLLECTORS!!
Here's a beautiful VG+ (sleeve)/ EXCELLENT (vinyl) UK first pressing of Van Morrison's ASTRAL WEEKS, with A2/B2 stampers (the first ones) on the UK Warner Bros Seven Arts Records Ltd., on the early legendary textured orange label release.

Massively pressed with the earlier A2/B2 mother and stamper codes and reproducing the ultimate details of the master tapes – for the connoisseur and audiophile listener, no other example or format of this evergreeen masterpiece will really do. Deep deep sound with that double-bass from Jazz maestro Richard Davis, and Connie Kay (Modern Jazz Quartet)'s dreamlike drums.
A superior pressing with crystal-clear sound. Genius session. Jazz meets Folk meets Blues meets Psychedelia. Out-there.

A beautiful object in superb condition. One of the nicest UK 1st pressing of this ultra rare and sought-after LP that we've seen.

Please note: WE HAVE NOT CLEANED THIS RECORD, AND HAVE NOT USED GAS LIGHTER TO MAKE IT SHINIER, as this also would have created heavy static electricity and affected the sound.
VINYL: EXCELLENT CONDITION Side A Matrix - WS 1768A-2 *T STEREO
Side B Matrix - WS 1768B-2 *T

We have checked the record on our sensitive analog Hi-Fi system - a Thorens TD 160 deck, a Rovel RX-202 MkII amp, and Mission 700 speakers.
We have noted a few light/super-faint clicks on A1, B1 and one at the end of B4, not affecting play. Very minimal, and these might be static. We have therefore described the LP as EXCELLENT, rather than EXCELLENT PLUS (which is the rest of the LP).
Visually, the vinyl has got hardly any signs of wear, except some light storage hairlines and faint fingerprints on vinyl (not affecting play at all). Vinyl has retained its gloss/sheen.
LABELS: EXCELLENT CONDITION
Light spindle marks on labels.
Clean labels (no writing, no stains, no stickers etc.).
RECORD SLEEVE: VERY GOOD + CONDITION Original first press UK Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd record sleeve, tri-flipback, laminated front. The cover has some wear, the laminated front is shiny, and has got sign of ring wear, there is some creasing and wear to the corners, and some light wear/aged paper on the back as well as a damaged/creased fold up on the lower back. The spine looks great and titles are clear.

INNER SLEEVE: VERY GOOD CONDITION Original first press WB inner sleeve (light tear by the hole, see picture).
THIS WILL BE DISPATCHED IN A HEAVY-DUTY CARDED PACKAGING, SIGNED FOR/INSURED FOR.
UK P&P: £7.00 EUROPE P&P: £10.00 OUTSIDE UK: YOU MIGHT BE CHARGED CUSTOMS FEES BY YOUR COUNTRY. THESE ARE TO BE PAID BY THE BUYER. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR COUNTRY'S CUSTOMS SERVICES FOR MORE INFORMATION.
