VAN MORRISON - ASTRAL WEEKS
WARNER BROS ORANGE LABEL 1968 ORIGINAL FIRST UK PRESSING WITH GARROD & LOFTHOUSE FRONT LAMINATED FLIP BACK SINGLE SLEEVE APART FROM THE FIRST 2 TRACKS ON SIDE TWO THE REST PLAYS NEAR MINT.
WS 1768
THERE IS A COUPLE OF PRESSING FAULTS CAUSING A SOLITARY SKIP AT THE END OF " AS YOUNG LOVERS DO" AND 7 POPS DURING "MADAME GEORGE". OTHERWISE IT PLAYS NICELY
Released in 1968 on the first issue orange WARNER BROS label, I am offering today this rare first pressing of superb debut album from VAN MORRISON which is titled "ASTRAL WEEKS" The vinyl has a couple of pressing faults which cause a solitary skip during As Young Lovers Do and has 7 pops during Madame George. Otherwise the rest of the album plays really nice.
The album comes complete with Garrod & Lofthouse single sleeve which is reasonably clean with fully legible spine text but there is some light laminate creasing and light ring wear but overall very respectable.
I have just played this through for these listing purposes and I am pleased to say that it plays well apart from the above mentioned problems.
The VINYL, The Vinyl visually apart from the above mentioned faults looks very clean. Audibly there is a skip towards the end of AS YOUNG LOVERS DO and there are a seven pops during MADAME GEORGE, Aside from this the rest of the album plays through well with absolutely no nasty sticks or skips etc.
The SLEEVE, The Garrod & Lofthouse front laminated flip back single sleeve is clean with very clean edges and fully legible spine text but there is some laminate creases & there is a some light wear ans some staining on the back panel.
The LABELS, The first issue orange WB labels are very clean, Needless to say they are free from unwanted writing or stickers etc.
The INNER, The original generic white inner is clean and free from unwanted writing or splits etc.
I try to be accurate in my grading as I know what its like to buy miss graded items but won't insult you by writing song lyrics etc. If you feel I have not described this correctly I am happy to refund you providing I receive the item back in the same condition as it leaves me, But I can only refund one lot of postage,
