From my own personal collection I am pleased to offer a lovely example of the studio album by VAN MORRISON titled ASTRAL WEEKS, Catalogue Number WS 1768. This is an ultra rare 1969 UK STEREO 1st PRESSING on the ORANGE WARNER BROS RECORD LABEL, with a 1st issue front-laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. flipback sleeve.
[The matrix numbers are WS 1768 A-2*T and WS 1768 B-2*T].
The sleeve is in VG+ condition. There is barely any wear, just a few laminate creases on the front cover and a short cut on the back cover (just to the left of the track-listing). The spine is solid with perfect text. Overall it's still a very fresh looking sleeve.
The record is visually in VG+ condition. It's a very solid pressing which retains a lovely deep shine. There are some very light surface marks evident under bright light - but nothing serious. The orange WB labels are like new with only a few spindle traces each side. There is virtually no wear to the spindle hole. The record plays with barely any deterioration in sound quality - just occasional light surface sound which is never intrusive and does not interfere with the enjoyment of the music.
Overall this a very nice copy of an extremely hard to find album!
PACKAGING & POSTAGE
LPs are posted in purpose-made mailers with plenty of stiffening. Records are packed outside of the outer sleeve in order to prevent seam-splits in transit.
