Van Dyke Parks recording under the pseudonym, George Washington Brown, Donovan's Colours Part I b/w Donovan's Colours Part II, Warner Bros. 7026. Year of release is 1967. This is a listing for a sensational two-sider electronic masterpiece arranged by Van Dyke Parks, produced by Larry Waronker, engineered by Bruce Botnick, and originally penned by Donovan Leitch. The record visually and play grades in beautiful near mint plus condition. I acquired it a few decades ago from a DJ collection along with another new copy which I sold a few years later. I don't believe that either copy had ever been played. Just check out both sound bytes (recorded from the actual record itself, raw, unprocessed, and including trail-ins). The record is a beautiful styrene pressing and plays the way styrene should when it outperforms vinyl, and believe me, this one does! As a special bonus to the winning bidder, the original mint Warner Bros. sleeve is provided in addition to a generic poly-lined sleeve. This is designed to protect both the company sleeve and the record. The company sleeve includes a nice protective matte board insert which is superior to cardboard which releases oils that will damage a picture, title, or company sleeve over time.
