The album was recorded at Trident Studios, London, December 11-14, 1969.
Trident was perhaps the most advanced studio in Europe at the time and the group made good use of the new technology to created a recording of outstanding technical quality.
Most of the album was recorded on an 8-track reel to reel machine. However, the song After The Flood was recorded on the brand new state of the art MM-1000 16-track machine built by Ampex.
This makes it perhaps the first such 16 track recording ever made in the U.K.
The title of the LP is taken from John Minton: "We're all awash in a sea of blood, and the least we can do is wave to each other."

LABELS: EXCELLENT
Clean, unmarked labels - moderate spindle traces - nick to the edge of one label from manufacture
VINYL Visual: VERY GOOD
Both surfaces display hairlines and marks but no scratches and nothing of any major audible significance
VINYL Audio: EXCELLENT/VERY GOOD+
Even though this copy has been well used it plays extremely well throughout with tremendous sound quality - an odd one-off tick noted but major audible issues of any kind - sounds stunning
SLEEVE: VERY GOOD
Storage rub to the edges and spine and the original owners name written small and neat inside but good and solid - no prominent ring - actually a pretty fine example
POSTER: NEAR MINT
Never hung, and by the looks of it barely touched, the lyric poster is in superb condition
