Description
On offer here is a UK original stereo 1st pressing of the Pawn Hearts LP by VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR. This edition comes on the very collectable pink scroll Charisma label, includes the RARE LYRIC INSERT and dates from 1971. This copy comes in an unlaminated thick gatefold EJ Day sleeve. The matrix numbers are Side 1 – CAS 1051A-1U & Side 2 – CAS 1051B-1U. Catalogue number is PCS3042. Mothers & stampers are: Side 1 – 2H and BOBIL hand etched & Side 2 – 1GA.
Visually the record easily grades as EX+ condition. There is hardly a mark to be seen, just a couple of wispy mega light bag removal marks. I have played it through and it sounds great. There were no clicks, sticks or jumps and it is 100% flat with no dishing or warping. The labels are very nice with no writing, damage or spindle wear, I think that it has only had a couple of plays.
The original unlaminated EJ Day cover is graded in EX- condition. There are no rips, tears, splits or writing, there is no wear to the top or bottom edges and the spine is fully legible. Apart from a little corner wear and some ring wear the thick card gatefold sleeve is in great shape!
The lyric insert is quite often missing from this album and this copy is in nice condition with no rips, tears, splits or writing, just some minor creasing and grades EX-.
Comes in a plain white inner sleeve which is in VG+ condition with no splits, writing or tears etc.
