This is a rare 1st UK Press on the 1st Press PINK SCROLL CHARISMA labels and B&C Records credit in label and cover of the “PAWN HEARTS” LP from VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR featuring Robert Fripp from King Crimson on electric guitar.

The PINK SCROLL Famous Charisma 1st Press Labels are in excellent condition.

The vinyl is graded visually in very good condition. Please see below a description of grades and note that this vinyl is 44 years old that has been played and will not transform into anything different to the condition stated.

The first press E. J. Day gatefold sleeve is in excellent condition with edge and corner wear. The inside sleeve has one of the funniest photographs I have seen of a band in a sleeve and is in excellent condition. The opening edge is sharp.

The spine is fully readable and in excellent plus condition with edge and corner wear.

The RARE LYRIC INSERT is complete but creased heavily on the edge.

Visually-graded vinyl: A visual grading will identify physical flaws (such as scratches) and can help determine whether a record has been cared-for properly. A visual grading will not identify noise or crackle caused by non-visible sources. Most of the records I sell are between thirty and fifty years old and so it is likely that there may be some background noise even if they look perfect.

Guide to grades used

Mint                      

Cover - Looks new - no marks, wear or damage

Disc - Looks unplayed - no marks visible

Near Mint              

Cover - Looks virtually new with signs of handling- Minor wear creases but no marks or damage. Light sleeves may show slight discoloration due to age.

Disc - May have minor scuffs &/or hairline scratches caused by moving record in & out of paper sleeve

Excellent                

Cover - Slight signs of wear on edges/spine, corners or ring wear. No damage caused by sticker removal/residue.

Disc- The record has been played and has superficial marks &/or hairline scratches and paper scuffs.

Very good              

Cover - Moderate edge/spine or ring wear. Corners may be a little blunt. Opening edge may show feathering caused by removal of record. Visible creases or laminate lift. Localised sticker removal damage.

Disc - The record has been played frequently and has noticeable surface marks, occasional light scratches and paper scuffs.

Good                      

Cover - Heavy ring or edge/spine wear. Corners noticeable bashed. Heavy creases. Considerable laminate/surface damage.

Disc - The record looks very well played and the sound quality has probably deteriorated noticeably. A lot of surface marks/scratches. Usually used as collection filler

 I am not a dealer but an amateur collector selling duplicated items or records that I no longer want to keep (mostly due to space). I do not clean records (other than a dust with anti-static) and unless indicated in the listing the records have been only visually inspected.

Items are not insured and I will not be responsible for items lost or damaged in the post. Please note that, whilst it it comparatively rare for items to be lost or damaged in the post , my part of the transaction contract is legally completed as soon as the item is in the hands of the Post Office. I will not, therefore, accept responsibility for any loss or damage by the Postal Services. Whilst I am happy to provide help and advice, all such claims remain the responsibility of and must be made by the buyer.

If the bidding exceeds £39, in the UK the item will be ONLY sent insured by special recorded next day guaranteed delivery post (insured up to a value of £500) at a cost of £8. The above P&P quoted is for UK only and the same principal on insurance will apply to international bidders who will need to pay £5.7 insurance in addition to the p&p.
