Description

An absolutely fabulous slice of lightweight Anglo-pop-psych from 1967.

PICADILLY LINE The Huge World Of Emily Small (CBS 63129)

Don't let the fact that the band and the record company didn't know that Piccadilly should be spelt with two 'c's. Just marvel at the superb period cover drawing of a wide-eyed flower child. Band personnel ROD EDWARDS vcls, gtr, keyboards, ROGER HAND gtr, vcls, KEITH HODGE drms, NORRIE McLEAN bs. Inner sleeve is a CBS 'The Sound of Entertainment' company inner, a bit tatty with edge tear. Apart from this inner sleeve, there is no insert. The outer sleeve is in fair condition with worn, scuffed edge. But the artwork is clear and something joyous to behold. Rear of sleeve shows band in mono live performance portrait shots.

I have played this record to check for scratches or jumps. It was quite dusty when we found it - and had a small jump on the first track. It has been carefully cleaned (using Covers 33 Vinyl Solution) and the record no longer jumps. There are some low level age-appropriate crackles which can just be heard between tracks, but the overall sound quality is good and typical of LPs from this time.

This is one item among many that I will be selling on behalf of the estate of a friend. The description is accurate to the best of my ability. The shipping costs are at a level to cover the listing and other costs of card mailers etc (so the estate incurs no cost regarding the sale). There is a realistic, but very low reserve price on this. If you have any queries, please e-mail me.
