Their FIRST ever LP/album and what a delight this one is !! A real treasure and of sheer investment quality.
Gatefold sleeve
Fully laminated, outer faces with NO laminate peels and an excellent/+ gatefold , with a tremendous feel. Has VO price code on reverse, to authenticate the first and earliest issue sleeve. High gloss, outer faces, and a delight to view. Inner centre fold, near perfect, with just a light, fading toward top edge. One of the very best examples, of this magnificent release.
Comes complete with the original inner swirl vertigo sleeve-excellent condition.
Vinyl
EX+ Lovely polished surfaces ,with a mirror like glaze. One or two miniscule surface ,side A, if examining against the light. Side B EX- has a scuff across last track ,which is visible, but is non audible, and cosmetic only. Apart from that, one faint hairline/odd surface mark, and verifies just a light playing history, and minor evidence of play. Overall , an excellent visual and a pleasure to view.
Vertigo swirl label
1st issue black and white swirl in excellent condition with several spindle lines visible. No damage at all and in wonderful condition.
(((TOP))) audio !A phenomenal aural delivery . Side A EX+ The organ blasts and guitar solos are riveting to say the least. Recorded at Lansdowne studios , London . Side B Mostly an excellent audio with little to fault . Just a minor blip on sound, as there is an invisible, tiniest scratch, which causes the faintest, three ticks, on final track, side 2, heard during the silent part of the music but is hardly obtrusive and does little to affect music presentation. The percussion beats and electric guitar bashes are simply awesome. This record embraces vital individuality and a number of styles, displaying solo and collective techniques. The boys were very proud of this album and so they should be. One of their best performances of all time .
A superb example of a release , becoming harder and harder to locate now, especially in this sensational condition.
