An original 1st issue of LIVE on UK Bronze from 1973. Matrix A1/B1-A2/B2. Note that this early pressing is on heavy vinyl - not the flimsy crap they issues just a few months later. Labels are consistent with an early pressing and still mention 'Island Distribution'. The vinyl comes housed in an original heavy-card gatefold cover with 8 internal photo pages. There's also the original newspaper style bespoke inner sleeves. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In marvellous condition and has clearly only seen lightest use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio come across with excellent clarity. A fantastic example of HEEP at the top of their game. You need to hear 'July Morning' on a copy like this to see what they were capable of live in '73. A pretty much perfect playing copy. Worth noting there is a massive difference between early '73 copies and ones from just 6 months later. Don't go thinking the labels look similar - it is an ENTIRELY different product! If you really need to get maximum fidelity with a perfectly clean background. If you need the absolute best pressed and best mastered copy - you need to be taking a close look at this one. Nothing worse than a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side. An absolute banger...
Cover (Ex/Ex+) One of the infrequent times you can actually offer a cover which matches the preservation of the vinyl - quite unusual. Just holding this item you can tell you're holding quality product. I can assure you - if you try something from jut six months later it really will be a pale imitation of the original article. Lovely hint and flat front with barely a crease - the aesthetic is fully preserved. Ditto the rear - practically perfect. The story is just the same inside - absolutely spot on. Sometimes you find that the inside page has aged - not here! All the pages are intact and have not been thumbed heavily at all. The rear panel is so smart it looks like it was printed yesterday. Hardly any edge wear at all and the openings are perfectly sharp. The spine is 100% intact - perfect. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity and in this part thanks to the quality of manufacture. Like I've already said - don't skimp...buy the real deal and you won't regret it!
