Question & Answer Answered On Q:  hello can u send me a soundclip ?? im very interested ! Thanks

Jul-06-12 A:      Greetings Soundsofsoul and thanks for your interest in this record! I have had a couple requests for a sound sample of this record. I have been reluctant to make one at this late date as I have advertised in this ad that it has only been played once by me. (It looks like the radio station never gave it a spin!) AND I am just flat afraid of putting it on the turntable then getting clumsy & giving it an ugly tattoo with the needle... It is, at this point, an absolutely beautiful copy and for the one spin I gave it, sounds just as fine.

Audio of the song is readily available from the two times it has been reissued. And, there are at least nine different places on Youtube.com that one can hear the whole song. ALL of the a fore mentioned came from one and only one source, and were made available due to the courtesy of legendary connoisseur and collector of All Things Funk, DJ Ian Wright, who, for many years, and up until this one, had the only known copy of this record in the universe. Now there are two...

RONDO #1126

DON'T GO

b/w

ME AND MR. JONES

(of note: It has been written that "Don't Go" was the "B" side of this record

but, it's clearly seen from the label shots that DON'T GO was, in fact, the "A" side)

This is only the 2nd known copy of this 1974 recording. This one came, some time ago, from a lot of 45s that were discarded by local Louisville SOUL/R&B icon radio station WLOU which had changed to a Gospel format. In another auction, I have also listed a copy of THE ARISTOCRATS other 45 on RONDO #1125:

LADY LOVE/BE MY LADY, that came from the same Louisville radio station source.

Very serious search here in Metro Louisville & beyond has never turned up another copy of Rondo #1126.

I have test played the record through, otherwise it appears unplayed. The pictures have been made with a scanner. They have been scanned through a plastic sleeve with "watermarkings" (so to speak).

Condition is MINT MINUS - a couple VERY light paper scuffs.

U.S. s/h will include the cost of insurance

International s/h is $38.00 plus the cost of full insurance. It could be picked up here in Louisville, KY, free of charge.        (Or, possibly, another, better for the buyer, yet secure other means as may be worked out between the buyer and seller)

Feel free to ask any other questions!

(as an aside: unexpected surgery caused this auction to be closed abruptly, shortly after being listed, and put on hold for the past 3 months)
