Not seen on ebay for some time now, the legendary Umbarumbamba by Thors Hammer with the gatefold. This is thought to be one of the rarest and most sought after vinyl from Iceland. Since the financial crisis in Iceland has not gone yet I´m having to sell as much as I can of my most expensive vinyl, I´m told to wait til autumn as the prices are better then, but I can´t wait so you get good prices here on my auctions for the rarest and most expensive Icelandic vinyl.
This item has been sold for up to 1700$ but I reserve a min. of 1300$.
VINYLS EXcellent:
EP, yellow Parlaphone. The 7" ep itself is has four songs - "My Life", "Better Days", "I Don't Care" and "The Big Beat Country Dance" The vinyl is surely Excellent, nice shine and just a few scuff marks from the paper. Looks like new. Very few spindle marks on label. One spindle mark visible on side two in the beginning but has no effect on sound, I checked. This ep sounds amazing. Truly an excellent copy.
The 7" has "Love Enough" and "If You Knew" on the flipside! Vinyl is surely Excellent, nice shine and just few scuff marks from removing from sleeve? Some spindle marks on labels, very few spindle marks on side 1. but more on side 2. Not much though. It sounds great, slight static in between songs.
COVER VG++:
The gatefold sleeve is slightly worn. Records released on Parlophone Records in 1966, recorded and printed in the UK, sold in Iceland, which is why the thing is so rare!! Great garage - so much fuzz it's amazing!! Sleeve is in VG+ condition, nice overall with ringwear on the front and on the back cover and some general wear, but nice overall.
