-ULTRA RARE DOO WOP
-Flamingos - Would I be Crying
-Single sided Demo - 1956
On offer here is a copy of the Flamingos Would I be Crying, one of the rarest Doo Wop records. This particular record is a single sided demo, for the soundtrack of the film Rock, Rock, Rock from 1956.
The label credits vocal- Flamingos with Instrumental Accompaniment. The number of the record is MSP 1531, although someone has lightly pencilled HL-N 8373, (the official London American catalogue number) and running time 2.55 on the label.
The record is in reasonable condition; it is playable (my son has played it on modern equipment and reported that it sounded fine) with some signs of wear.
The price quoted for the official London release, in the Rare Records Price Guide 2008, published by Record Collector magazine, is £600 +
