Description
Ultra RARE vinyl LPs Wooden Horse I & II on York Label.
Wooden Horse was a short lived British folk rock band that originated in Sydney, Australia. They moved to London, and released 2 albums consecutively in 1972 and 1973.
Both albums were initially released on the York Label, a subsidiary of Decca, and these early pressings are very hard to come by, especially Wooden Horse II, which has recently sold for a four figure sum in the Uk.
Wooden Horse I have graded the vinyl as VG+ (it looks like it has been through a cleaner at some point but there are no visible scratches). The sleeve is also VG+ with only a little sticker residue in top right corner and also on the reverse. All in all, a great example of a rare LP.
Wooden Horse II I have also graded as VG+. The record is in a similar condition where it looks like it has been cleaned but no visible scratches. The sleeve is VG simply because it has a split along half of the bottom join, a fold line through the logo and a little sticker peel over the logo. Also a small tear to the back visible in the photographs. This is far rarer than the first album with only one example available for sale on line priced at £1500.
This is an amazing opportunity to buy a great couple of examples of both LPs. Each are rare at the best of times, but to have both together is a ‘Holy Grail’ moment.
