Here I have for sale the US import reissue from 1980 of the original motion picture soundtrack album LP to 'The Whisperers' (1967) by John Barry.

Condition (refer also to notes at bottom):
Vinyl – VG-EX. Very clean on visual inspection. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is great throughout. The brass sounds particularly bright. Superb!
Cover – G-VG. Front is clean and unmarked and there are no obvious nicks to the black front cover. Disc outline visible round entire front. Delete tab cut-out on spine edge is taped over near top left corner. Sellotape band round entire spine front and back. A few vein-like creases in from the edges. Bad crease damage in bottom right corner. Other corners are lightly nicked and aperture shows some scuffing and nicking. Reverse has some marks and the bottom left corner shows some damage. Some creases near top as well as disc outline and some rubbing in top centre. Overall a fairly good copy.
Inner sleeve – VG. Original. Clear plastic. Creasing and folding but intact. Album catalogue number sticker in top right corner.

John Barry's soundtrack to a film about an old woman in dire straits with a tenuous hold upon reality is a very subdued work, mostly making use of chamber-type themes played delicately on harpsichord and soft strings. It's effective at complementing the quiet desperation of the main character.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
