U.S. MARINE CORPS - New Sounds Of The Corps -- ex. rare, original 1966 U.S. album, DJ Promo only. This was distributed only to radio stations and features a number of different public service announcements recruiting college students during the Vietnam War era to join the U.S. Marine Corps ... Each spot is different and promotes various aspects of the Corps: simulated combat training to pass Officer training, mid-air refueling, service at U.S. Embassies worldwide, even spots encouraging women to become female Marines ... There are also snippets of Marine-themed songs and various Sound F/X. A fascinating time capsule of the military in the mid-1960's. This was never available commercially in stores and was pressed in very limited quantities. Note that each track is banded for radio play (you have to lift the needle between each song.)
