THE HORACE SILVER QUINTET: "SERENADE TO A SOUL SISTER" LP - On BLUE NOTE Records, #84277. Original stereo pressing with gatefold jacket and the classic Blue & White (Liberty) labels. 'VAN GELDER' machine stamped in the trail-off on both sides. Thick vinyl, thick gatefold cardboard cover. The personnel: Charles Tolliver/trumpet; Stanley Turrentine or Bennie Maupin/tenor sax; Horace Silver/piano; Bob Cranshaw or John Williams/bass; Billy Cobham Jr. or Mickey Roker/drums. The vinyl is in NM condition (beautiful sheen)!! Gatefold jacket is in superb shape: bright & clean with tight seams, displays wonderfully, just a small hint of wear at one corner. No cut-out marks, no writing, no seam splits, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking.
