Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my Progressive records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, a very rare first German pressing of Uriah Heep – Salisbury on the Swirl Vertigo label with cat. no. 6360 028.
The record is in EX minus condition, there are a few non-sounding hairline marks. There is only thing keeping me from grading this record as a full EX copy; there is a tiny sounding mark at the end of the first track (Bird of Prey). This looks more like a pressing fault than a scratch to me. This mark is only heard about 10 revolutons, the rest of the album plays flawless. The labels are in Excellent condition, there are a few spindle marks only.
The cover is in VG++ condition, the only thing preventing me from grading this cover as an EX, is that there is a fold along the ¾ of the width in the bottom section on the front. Besides this mentioned defect, this cover looks very presentable; there is no writing, no rips or tears or other damage.
This is becoming a very rare Swirl Vertigo record. Prices are still going up on Ebay, also for the German copies! Although the cover is not perfect (the German covers are made from thinner cardboard) the record is in fabulous condition. Besides the earlier mentioned pressing fault, this album sounds fantastic! I have played the full album and it sounds like it was bought last week. This is your chance to get a near perfect copy of a very rare Uriah Heep album on Swirl Vertigo.
