Rare Unglued Mirror Insert
Rare first press of the classic album by Uriah Heep on Island's Bronze label. I have owned this album for many, many years. It was in mint condition when I bought it and I have played it only a couple of times since then.
The vinyl retains a lush, deep sheen with almost no marks visible at all (even when viewed beneath a strong light source). Looks absolutely beautiful. Both labels are near perfect in appearance, no marks or writing, no scuffs or scratches and no spindle marks visible at all. On play, both sides are audibly near perfect - barely any noticeable surface noise at all. Superb.
The album cover is in great shape, no stains, marks, scuffs or writing. The opening is unfeathered and all edges and corners are crisp, sharp. The spine is also in exceptional shape with no wear, the lettering clearly legible, almost perfect. There is some light creasing which is not particularly noticeable, pretty minor. The edges of the cut out mirror section are perfect and unworn unlike many that are prone to tears and splits. Generally, the sleeve looks superb throughout.
The original unglued card mirrored insert (later pressings were actually glued to the sleeve - only true first pressings included as an insert) is also in great condition. The mirrored surface has very few marks and shines like new. Most copies are dulled or heavily scratched - very hard to find one as good as this.
The inner sleeve is truly exceptional - no marks, creases, writing or stains and barely any record impression (it helped that I stored the record in a poly lined sleeve for years!)
