DEMON AND WIZARDS is the fourth album released by British rock band Uriah Heep!!!!.

The original vinyl release was a gatefold sleeve, the front of which was designed by Roger Dean. The inner of the gatefold had pictures of the band and notes by Ken Hensley, whilst the LP itself was housed in a liner which had the lyrics printed on it!

The songs "The Wizard" and "Easy Livin'" were released as singles in the United Kingdom and North America, as well as many other markets. "Easy Livin'" entered the US Top 40 at #39, making it Heep's first American hit.

"Easy Livin'" was also a mega hit in New Zealand and Germany, countries which were becoming a strong market for the band. It reached a disappointing #75 in Australia!

"Demons and Wizards" has gone Platinum in the USA!.

The vinyl

On initial inspection this looks like new! Super glossy apearance and it is hard for me to see a blemish! Only in very strong light could possibly be seen very (very) few surface sleeve removal marks only,  nothing that have an adverse effect on the awesome audio that i heard at all! The vinyl lays perfectly flat on the turntable and importantly is the thick heavier typer of vinyl only found on the original 1st pressings!!

The Audio

I have played this vinyl track for track prior to listing on a top system at very high volume! The audio is stunning (one of the best that i have heard of this pressing) very very rich deep basey feel cristal clear and vibrant through out with no signs of distortion or that this has been overplayed what so ever! Please note! it is all too easy to be critical about these 1970's pressings and it is so hard to find a lovely sounding vinyl like this one, I should know I have copies that look near mint and certainly do not produce the audio quality like this one on offer! Truely awesome seperation, great album!

Points to note! This album has been stored in a case for at least 25 years and has been laying dormant! From my experiance, a build up of dirt and dust in the grooves causes static crackle\ticks. A constant clean before each play reduces this static and hence improves the audio quality! TOP! TOP! AUDIO ON ALL FREQUENCIES! THIS WILL BE HARD TO SURPASS!

Please note! I always addd this disclaimer! Please allow for the odd isolated static tick\crackle (not) consistant throughout the audio! Please remember that this is a 36 year old vinyl that would have originally been played on a 36 year old system! 

The Record Sleeve

This is the original lyric sleeve 1ST PRESS CARRIES CAT NO. ILPS -9193 Ant who know this album would know that the early record sleeves are prone to rubbing ware, later issues are made of a different material and are more robust. There is general rubbing ware with age no splits or tares and general creasing with age becoming fragile at the edges.

The Cover

This is the original 1st press TINSLEY ROBOR LIMITED unlaminated gatefold cover! in awesome condition! MEGA RARE TO FIND ORIGINALS LIKE THIS!!(36 YEARS OLD)! Very difficult to find without nasty ringware, (no) splits tares or nasty handwriting very (very) minor light storageware to talk of in the way of light rubbing and just very light ringwear/rubbing at the rear only really noticable if you look for it.. Please note! there barely any creases  to talk of, absolutely awesome for 36 years old! Absolutely superbe spine very very rare to find like this! must be at least better than Excellent in my opinion. TOP! EXAMPLE!
