My apologies if you are one of the 8 people waiting for me to update this. I had to go away and have just got back so...............again, sorry.
Elvis Presley.
HMV LP.
Rock n Roll No. 1.
Sleeve is as shown. Mainly in one piece but taped as seen. I've just noticed that this looks like the scarce 3rd sleeve too. (HMV bottom left and Wood in full not WRW). I don't think I've ever actually seen a 3rd pressing sleeve apart from the 2 I have listed (as mentioned in ElvisUK).
3rd pressing.
Plays G with some problems.
1st 3 songs on Side 1 jump almost all of the way through. I don't know if it's very dirty or what as the vinyl doesn't look as bad as it sounds!! Gets better halfway through song 3 and by the 4th song it plays with crackle but no jumping at least. Correction, 5th song has a slight skip and is pretty rough too.
I must say it's pretty annoying playing this but I've started so I'll finish..................
Side 2 is better overall although that wouldn't be hard really so.............Has quite a bit of crackle and 1st song jumps a few times, as does the 2nd and the 3rd, to be honest I stopped counting.............I think the last 3 songs play without jumping but to be honest I was too "drained" and my brain was trying to block it out by then so don't quote me. Last 2 are definitely okay. That was painful!
Strictly a copy to fill a scarce gap and never to be played (unless you can ultra-clean it and are lucky/good enough to sort out the issues).
If you want a lovely copy, I have another one up at the moment.
