WOW WHAT A FIND !!! This is a RARE ORIGINAL UNRELEASED IN THE UK - TRAVIS MUSIC PUBLISHING / THE MUSIC CENTRE - DEMO ACETATE - NORTHERN SOUL / DOO WOP - DEMO ACETATE by THE SHOWMEN from 1963 !!!
THIS IS A SINGLE SIDED TRAVIS MUSIC PUBLISHING - DEMO ACETATE SINGLE - NORTHERN SOUL / DOO WOP - DEMO ACETATE , ORIGINAL UK DEMO ACETATE PRESSING IN AMAZING CONDITION !!!
Well here is a mystery to you all, this is the US - SOUL GROUP, THE SHOWMEN who released 2 singles in the UK in 1962 on LONDON RECORDS and in the US on MINIT / IMPERIAL / AIRECORDS and SWAN RECORDS !!! Now this track was released in the US only on the tiny private label AIRECORDS but was called “VALLEY OF LOVE”, so why change the title to “SOMEBODY HELP ME” ? To make it even more mysterious, they also had a B. side released in the US in 1964 as a single on IMERIAL RECORDS catalogue number 66071, with the same title “SOMEBODY HELP ME” which is a completely different song !!! Maybe this was suppose to come out in the UK in 1963 on LONDON RECORDS as a follow up to their 2 1962 LONDON RECORDS releases but for some reason was canceled ??? This ACETATE came from the TRAVIS MUSIC PUBLISHING library which I have bought and you can even see their FILE COPY sticker on the label !!! This is an AMAZING UNRELEASED IN THE UK NORTHERN SOUL / DOO WOP track !!!

The ACETATE was pressed by TRAVIS MUSIC PUBLISHING at the MUSIC CENTRE facilities.
The condition of the ACETATE is in VG+++ / EX condition (Better condition then most ACETATES of this age, light scuffs only, plays great with only mild crackle as ACETATES of this age tend to have ) !!!
