WOW WHAT A FIND !!! This is a RARE ORIGINAL UNRELEASED US DEMO ACETATE SINGLE, IMMEDIATE MUSIC / BELL SOUND STUDIOS ACETATE PRESSING - MOD / PSYCH / BEAT ACETATE by DEL SHANNON from 1967, ORIGINAL US UNRELEASED DEMO ACETATE PRESSING IN AMAZING CONDITION !!!
This is a RARE AND GREAT - MOD / PSYCH / BEAT - UNRELEASED US DEMO ACETATE single that I SUSPECT IS THE ONLY ONE IN EXISTENCE !!! This is an UNRELEASED 1967 BACKING track by DEL SHANNON from his unreleased 1967 album, the story is that DEL SHANNON recorded this track as part of an album for IMMEDIATE RECORDS, with ANDREW LOOG OLDHAM producing (the Rolling Stones manager and Head Honcho at Immediate Records), and ANDREW got DEL SHANNON to record this track which was written by the band TWICE AS MUCH (who were signed to IMMEDIATE MUSIC as both song writers and artists), the album NEVER SAW the light of day because of poor singles sales, and the first time this track was released was in 1978 when Sunset Records decided to release the album !!! This is the GREAT - BACKING TRACK to this track !!! Musicians on this track and the album session included STEVE MARRIOTT from THE SMALL FACES, BILLY NICHOLLS, TWICE AS MUCH, NICKY HOPKINS, JOHN PAUL JONES, MADELINE BELL and P. P. ARNOLD to name but a few, and THE ROLLING STONE’s manager ANDREW LOOG OLDHAM was the producer !!! This is the AMAZING (in my humble opinion) FULL BAND BACKING TRACK which was NEVER RELEASED before on this format !!! This was an IMMEDIATE MUSIC PUBLISHING ACETATE (which I have bought the complete vinyl library from) !!!

The tracks are: LIFE IS BUT NOTHING (BACKING TRACK) / side B is blank.
The ACETATE was pressed by IMMEDIATE MUSIC at the BELL SOUND STUDIOS facilities in the US.
The condition of the ACETATE is in EX/EX+ on the DUANE DEE side and VG on the DEL SHANNON / BILLY NICHOLLS side (this side was marked out, but as you can hear it still plays brilliant with only mild crackle as ACETATES tend to have) !!!
