Description

Super rare 2-sided WHITE LABEL TEST PRESSING of the legendary 1st LP by THE UNDERTONES in EXCELLENT CONDITION!

This particular copy is a TEST PRESS for the very first album release - i.e. the original WHITE COVER issue! There are hand-written notes on both white labels with a pressing date of 5th April 1979 which is a full month before the official release date. The etched markings in the run-out grooves are as follows: (i) SIDE 1 - S-T/P1 SRK 6071 A1 and (ii) SIDE 2 - S-T/P1 SRK 6071 B1.

I've included a picture of the sleeve so you can see which pressing I'm describing - please note, however, THE SLEEVE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS SALE. The record was originally supplied in a plain cellophane jacket because, presumably, the sleeve hadn't been printed when the test pressing was made.

The record has been stored in heavy duty PVC and card protective sleeves which are included in the sale. Bid with confidence - I have a 100% feedback profile and take great care with packaging.

Payment to be made in full within 7 days of close of auction. Buyer pays all postage and insurance costs - international rates on request. Payment can be made by either PayPal, UK Postal Order or UK personal cheque (5 working days to clear).

Keep checking back for my other auctions - I'm selling my complete collection, amassed over the last 30 years, which includes some super rare punk vinyl and collectibles.
