------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Uncle Walt's Band was formed by Walter Hyatt, Champ Hood and David Hood who grew up in or near Spartanburg, South Carolina. The trio moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 1972, where they caught the attention of Willis Alan Ramsey, a Texas singer and songwriter. The group specialized in combining advanced three-part harmony singing in the manner of Crosby, Stills, and Nash with original songwriting influenced by traditional pop, western swing, and US roots music including country, New Orleans R&B, Cajun music, and soul. In 1974 the group released its first album, 'Blame It on the Bossa Nova', on it's own Lespedeza Record Company label. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THIS 1974 VERSION WAS RELEASED IN A GENERIC WHITE CARDBOARD SLEEVE WITH  "Uncle Walt's Band" "Blame It On Bossa Nova" STAMPED ON THE FRONT CENTER OF THE SLEEVE ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VINYL: EX COVER: A yellow picture has been scotch taped on the front with the names of the group (see pic1) also, the tracklist was wrote on the back + some other writing at the top (see pic2) Original Side 1 blue label has a name marked out (see pic3) -------------------------------------------------------------- TRACKLIST: A1 Aloha A2 From Four 'Til Late A3 High Hill A4 In The Night A5

      HOW I GRADE RECORDS:

STILL SEALED (SS): Factory Sealed, NOT Resealed

          MINT (M): Like New

NEAR MINT (NM): RECORD GRADE: extremely nice, very well taken care, played but a few times

COVER GRADE: would be mint except for the slightest ring or shelf wear

EXCELLENT (EX): RECORD GRADE: nice, would be NM except for light sleeve marks or very light hairline scratch that doesn't effect play

COVER GRADE: would be NM except for very light ring/shelf wear or crease

VERY GOOD+ (VG+): RECORD GRADE:  taken care of, but used, may have light scuffs or scratches, plays with some light surface noise, but still very enjoyable.

COVER GRADE: shows light ring or shelf wear or crease. (this would be specified when grading)

VERY GOOD (VG): RECORD GRADE: A well used record with scratches or scuffs, no deep scratches, should sound OK, but may have moderate surface noise & pops

COVER GRADE: Shows moderate ring or shelf wear, creases, possible stain, possible writing on cover (woc), possible seam splits (would be specified in grade)

GOOD (G): RECORD GRADE: Has scratches, should play all the way through, but possibly a skip, lots of surface noise, crackles & pops

COVER GRADE: Not well taken care of, possibly some damage [water, tears, lots of writing] - (would be specified in grade)

FAIR (F): Strictly a filler, this wouldn't be listed if it wasn't rare!
