The Rolling Stones
Let It Bleed
UNBOXED (1st press) DECCA
*With un-corrected inner*
In my opinion this is the Stones at their best....Released in 1969, the record is peppered with hit tunes.
I have just had the utter pleasure of playing her all the way through.
**TURN HER UP-I DID**
Catalogue number: SKL 5025
Matrix numbers:
Side 1: XZAL-9363-P-5W
Side 2: XZAL-9364.P-4W
'JT' Tax Code stamped into both sides of run-off
Vinyl:
QUALITY 155g
VG.
Remaining as flat now, as she was when born, the audio screams out :)
I have given her a gentle clean on my VC-S MKII Vacuum Record Cleaner and I noticed the difference! There remains some light background noise-more noticeable in between tracks and a little in the run-ins and outs-but nothing offensive at all.
I did notice a small drop-out, right at the start of track 1, side 1...but then the rest of the album played through without any jumps, skips or drop outs.
The disc does have many visual marks-but they knew how to make them back then-and how to party too ;)
SHINY as the day she was born too.
160g of heavyweight vinyl quality!
Labels:
VG.
SUPERB AS WELL!!..NO writing and hardly any spindle marks either!! It is the VERY 1st UNBOXED DECCA label with the following:
Copyright box: On the left side of the label
Font: Arial looking font style
Tax Code: Tax code is missing
Publishers: After each song title
Speed is NOT included on the label. The master tape number upside down.
Wonderfully deep, rich & blue in colour...There is a drawn pencil 'bubble' around track 1, side 1, as well as a pen marking the time of the track next to it (but in biro, so not so easy to see). Side 2 remains perfectly clear.
Please see the detailed images for yourselves.
*VERY FRAMEABLE*
PLEASE SEE THE DETAILED IMAGES PROVIDED-CLICK ON THEM FOR EVEN LARGER IMAGES AND SEE MY FEEDBACK FOR FAIR GRADING AND HAPPY CUSTOMERS
Sleeve:
VG.
This cover has been used...but not abused....There are small crescents of spidering to the laminate near the opening, as well as some emanating from the seams. The corners are lightly knocked and rubbed-as is the spine....However-NO SPITS-NO WRITING!
There is the hole to the top right corner on the back, to show whether the copy inside is a Mono or Stereo copy.
UK PATENTS APPLICATION No. 43212/68
Has the outline of where the sticker advertising the poster was, on the front, bottom left.
Only the brief 1st pressing text to the bottom right on the reverse:
"Sleeve Printed In England"
ALL THE ABOVE SHOW THIS TO BE THE VERY 1st EDITION OF THIS ICONIC COVER
(As a note-did you know the cake to the front and back of the cover was Deliah Smith's very first professional job?!)
Inner:
VG+!
It is the correct and ORIGINAL DECCA 1st pressing inner with the blue border and the credits to one side
This really rather rare inner is the one with the track listing of the record printed on to it by the factory.
"You Can't Always Get What You Want" DOES NOT have the credit professionally factory blacked out over 'With The London Bach Choir.' The choir credit remains as it was when very first printings came out.
Some feathering to the opening and light creases.
It also states "THIS RECORD SHOULD BE PLAYED LOUD" printed to the bottom right corner at the end of all the credits...YEP-THAT'S TOO RIGHT!
ALL IN ALL THIS IS AN ADDITION TO ANY COLLECTION AND IS A COLLECTORS PIECE IN IT'S OWN RIGHT WITH THE INCREASINGLY RARE INNER.
A SOLID ALL-ROUND PACKAGE OF A CLASSIC ALBUM IT WOULD, AT THE VERY LEAST, MAKE A GREAT FILLER.
