Description
Hi there,
This an auction for a more than decent copy of "Genesis The Beginnings Of Rock", being a 4 Chess Blues Box of UK Vinyl LP's from 1972, on the Chess Record Label, Cat. No. 6641 047. This is a Mono first pressing with some tracks electronically reprocessed for Stereo.
This set is a must for the blues aficionado, being four remastered pre 1957 albums from the Chess Record Vaults, sounding better than most old blues LP"s. These are blues masterpieces performed by Sunnyland Slim, Muddy Waters (over one cpmplete LP), Leroy Foster, Forrest City Joe, Robert Nighthawk, Little Johnny Jones, Memphis Minnie, Big Bill Broonzy, Washboard Sam & Jimmy Rodgers (one complete LP).
The Original Outer Box is in only in fairly Good Condition with lots of wear & tear. The Box Top is broken at each side. The Box Bottom is much better but still not perfect. The Boxes have been lightly taped for better protection but not on a permanent basis leaving adequate scope for a thorough expert repair.
However, the contents are really pretty good. The Original Very Thorough Information Book(let) is Very Good as are each Special Individual Record Sleeve.
I have played this album from beginning to end & all LP's come into the Excellent Classification Category, whilst always remembering that the original analogue tapes had their limitations. This is music to die & go to heaven for especially if you ignore the box which to be fair is still not outrageously bad.
I am an avid record collector of over 45 years & plan to downsize at least a little at a time. I will not make exaggerated claims on any music.
I will not sell what I would not accept as perfectly decent for myself & will try to abide by the Record collector Grading system.
I will clean all vinyl to a most decent standard.
P&P is for 2nd Class RM Standard though you may wish to pay 50p extra for 1st Class or collect in person for free. I will combine P&P for the cheapest available option.
It would be useful if you could please tell me if you are considering bids on other items.
Please inform me if you require any other postage, recorded delivery, insurance etc as I have only listed the most economic option. I always retain Certificates of postage.
This item comes from a smoke & pet free home.
I will allow this auction to run its course so please do not ask for a Buy It Now Price as I consider this to be unfair to other prospective bidders.
