Description
Brilliant conducting and playing, wonderful sound. No further praise needed from me for this rather scarce two record set, here offered in lovely NM condition. The Philharmonia, under Otto Klemperer, plays the six Bach "Brandenburgs" on two separate discs, UK Columbia SAX 2408-09 on Blue Silver stereo labels.
These were carefully and thoroughly auditioned with a Goldring 1042 cartridge, and Sennheiser 600 headphones/Epos ES-25 speakers.
I hesitate to use superlatives, but here they're deserved--this set's in astonishing condition, a true velvety NM. The two thick, shiny records look excellent. You're highly unlikely to find better sounding copies anywhere.
The bright, crisp jackets have some minor wear, thus a VG+ or better.
I've added Nitty Gritty inner sleeves to the originals, and slipped the pair into a new Japanese mylar resealable outer sleeve.
