MEGA RARE MONO ISSUE OF HIS DEBUT LP FROM 1970 ON DERAM (NOVA SERIES) RECORDS DN 12 (PRESSED BY DECCA)

THIRTEEN SONGS - ALL PENNED BY BILL FAY

SONGS ARE: GARDEN SONG, THE SUN IS BORED, WE WANT YOU TO STAY, NARROW WAY, WE HAVE LAID HERE, SING US ONE OF YOUR SONGS MAY, GENTLE WILLIE, METHANE RIVER, THE ROOM, GOODNIGHT STAN, CANNONS PLAIN, BE NOT SO FEARFUL and DOWN TO THE BRIDGE.

THIS IS AN ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING WITH 1A/2A MATRIX NUMBERS THAT ARE MACHINE STAMPED IN THE RUN-OFF AREAS.

CONDITION: (Using Record Collector grading system)

RECORD (VISUAL): The record is in at least VERY GOOD CONDITION with only minimal signs of play and handling.  The disc has a very mild warp, but when played there is no effect.

RECORDS (PLAY GRADE - TESTED ON MY GEMINI TURNTABLE WITH AUDIO TECHNICA CARTRIDGE & STYLUS WITH HIGH QUALITY DENON AMP AND WHARFEDALE SPEAKERS): The record plays extremely well on both sides and the warp mentioned above is barely noticeable on Side One and only slightly more pronounced on Side Two.  As previously stated, this has no effect on the music.  There is no distortion and the only surface noise is very, very light in the quiet passages.  This record is a strong player and is a delight to listen to.  No clicks were noticed and certainly no skips/repeats/jumps.

LABELS: EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT shape with negligible signs of previous use.

COVER: The cover has a few mild creases on the front (which is laminated) and is somewhat grubby on the back with some ringwear (back is not laminated).  Overall I would conservatively grade the cover as GOOD to VERY GOOD condition with the issues mentioned, but there are no serious problems.  There is no writing anywhere on the cover, no tears at all and no stickers or pieces missing.  All the text is fully readable.  Plenty of life left in it!
