VERY RARE ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING of this COLUMBIA STEREO BOX SET (five discs with insert and booklet inside box).

COLUMBIA SAX 2446, 2447, 2448, 2449, 2450.

ORIGINAL BLUE & SILVER STEREOPHONIC LABEL DESIGN.

FISCHER-DIESKAU / PEARS / SCHWARZKOPF / LUDWIG / GEDDA / BERRY.

OTTO KLEMPERER / PHILHARMONIA ORCHESTRA & CHOIR.

Matrix numbers machine stamped in run-off area on each side (however the reverse of 'Side 1' is blank so there are 9 sides of music among the 5 records).

RECORDS = At least EXCELLENT (generally NEAR MINT) throughout and the whole set is fascinating to listen to.

LABELS = NEAR MINT CONDITION.

INNER SLEEVES = EXCELLENT CONDITION, all original Columbia inner sleeves of the period.

BOOKLET = NEAR MINT CONDITION, very much like new.  A very informative and attractive document.

INSERT = NEAR MINT CONDITION, very much like new. A fascinating document.

BOX = VERY GOOD to EXCELLENT CONDITION with minimal signs of age and use, overall the box is very presentable.  Original ''EMI Stereophonic Recording'' sticker in top right corner.

THIS SET IS MARVELLOUS THROUGHOUT AND SUPERB FOR AN ARTEFACT THAT IS OVER 50 YEARS OLD.
