Description

Capitol Records original mono recording CTL 7024, earliest maroon label disc pressed in England by Decca.  Very heavy flat-edged disc.  Earliest non-laminated flipback jacket, made in England. 

Shostakovich piano quintet, op. 57, performed by Victor Aller, piano, and the Hollywood String Quartet.  See pics for program details.

Disc VG++, no visible spindle wear, just some superficial sleeve marks which do not affect play.  Plays very nicely with a mono cartridge, with great sound, jacket VG+
