Visually: USED, scuffs, hairline scratches, paper dust. No writing on labels.

Side One: With Or Without You -

There is some surface noise at the start and continuous light background crackle is there for at least the first half of play until the song builds momentum, at which point it is less noticeable.

There are also some 'pops' in various places. However, this side plays through without 'skips' and is still perfectly listenable and enjoyable despite such signs of wear as mentioned above.

Given the above, I would grade Side One as 4.5 out of 10.

Side Two: Walk To The Water -

N.B. Several 'pops' in succession and a few slight 'skips' at very start, but it plays right through. Has seen less play than the A-side, and is a little quieter overall, so would probably play grade

as 5 out of 10 were it not for the start of the song being spoiled as described above. However, because of the 'pops' and slight 'skips' at the very start of play I can only grade Side Two as 4 out of 10

although it is still playable and enjoyable.

Sleeve

is POOR with pronounced wear to all the edges incl. an approx. 4 cm seam split to one side. Other signs of wear include ring wear, marks, creases, dirt.

On the plus side, the sleeve is still functional.

This is the correct sleeve, with Interpak logo below Island logo (bottom right hand corner on rear of sleeve) and "Manufactured & Distributed by: Tusk Music Co. (Pty) Ltd."

is also printed at the back of the sleeve.

Overall, NOT a super-clean copy, with wear to the record and the sleeve, so not recommended for fussy collectors. That said, the record is from being "trashed" --

it is still playable and enjoyable.  The record would probably benefit from a professional clean.

Sealed (presumed Mint) – 10 out of 10

VG++ (hardly any surface noise, or only the faintest traces of surface noise; generally very clean, quiet) – 8 or 9 out of 10

VG+ (some occasional surface noise heard in the background but play is fine) – 6 or 7 out of 10

VG (surface noise is heard more often – and is heard clearly in the same ‘space’ as the music – but is not especially intrusive, becomes part of the listening experience) – 5 or 6 out of 10

VG- (fairly frequent surface noise, sometimes intrusive i.e. starts to detract from the listening experience) – 4 out of 10

G (continuous and noticeable or very noticeable surface noise, often ‘competing’ with the music; still playable) – 3 out of 10

P (“trashed” or badly abused; terribly noisy, with distortion, skips, jumps: not really playable or enjoyable; listed as a “filler” copy because of its rarity) – 1 or 2 out of 10

Cover:
