Description
An opportunity to bid for U2 Three - a very rare original 1979 Irish 3-track 7" vinyl single. Track listing is "Out of Control", "Stories for Boys" and "Boy/Girl". This is the first issue released on the sunburst CBS label, with 'UKTM No. B81 8092' written on the label after the copyright warning.
The sleeve has no tears or rips, just imprint marks from the vinyl as a result of sitting in a record collection for most of the last 27 years. The sleeve has 'Grafotone' printed on the back sleeve. The vinyl has slight marks and a couple of crackles on Track 3 "Boy/Girl" but otherwise plays good without any crackles or hisses (I listened to it once more just to confirm that it plays OK).
To buy from a dealer, when they can get hold of a copy, can cost as much as £350. You are not buying from a dealer, hence low starting bid - I am the original owner (an early U2 fan) and this copy was purchased from an old-fashioned record store in Sheffield back in 1980 before the band hit the big time.
Good luck - this is a very rare opportunity to purchase a piece of U2 history.
