U2 "Three" 12" Out of control rare CBS 12 - 7951
Limited Edition No.828 of 1,000
One of the rarest and most valuable U2 collectors items.
Side A. 1. Out of Control Side B. 2. Stories for Boys 3. Boy/Girl
My son purchased this limited edition in Dublin city many years ago. The number 828 is written in ink on the label on the CBS sleeve as shown in the picture. There were only a 1000 copies of this first edition. Band members names inscribed on both sides of the vinyl in the dead wax. Ireland spelled correctly on label and "Made in England" on bottom.
Condition:
The Sleeve : There is some ring and edge wear, plus some crinkling and a 1" loss of paper on right just below the label on the front. There is a radious crease front and back. The label is in good condition with slight ring mark. A previous owner's name & phone no. appears on front of sleeve at top.
The Vinyl : I am no expert on vintage vinyl and accordingly I can only set out any defects as identified by me to the best of my ability. Side A: There is one 4" radius mark with a 2"radius mark immediately adjacent to it from the label outwards. I would describe the aforemention as heavy marking. There is also normal light surface marking. Side B: Some light surface marking. I borrowed a turntable and played both sides of the record. It appeared ok to me with usual few crackles and pops.There does not appear to be any edge warp.
