Description
U2 The Joshua Tree uk original 1st pressing 1987 vinyl LP
Island records U26
This is a BUY IT NOW for the original UK vinyl issue of U2 - The Joshua Tree. This record is from my own personal collection, and has been very well looked after. I remember queuing up in the local record shop for this on day 1 of its release 30 years ago.
As a big music fan I treated every item like gold dust and this is no exception. I tended to record my vinyl to cassette back then as most of my listening was usually done while driving, so this record will not have been played many times, and being kept in a pvc clear sleeve, the cover looks almost as good as it did 30 years ago.
This comes complete with inner poster/lyric sheet. Please see my photos for an indication of condition in conjunction with my grading below:
Outer cover - Ex+
Inner cover - M-
Vinyl side A - Ex
Vinyl side B - Ex
Why am I selling? While I agree that vinyl generally sounds better than CD, I still find myself preferring the convenience of digital. So I've a big box of records that hasn't been touched in decades, and it's time now for the vinyl to go to a more appreciative home..

About me:
I am not a shop, nor a dealer. Just trying to clear some space in the house! I've been using eBay since 2004 and I like to give the buyer the same type of service I would like if I were buying.

Grading:
I always use 'Record Collector' grading as follows:
MINT : The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Picture discs are not faded or have not turned brown. The item is in perfect condition with no faults whatsoever.
MINT MINUS : The record may have one, possibly two very MINOR light marks, not effecting play at all. The cover may have a very MINOR mark, this can probably only be seen if you are looking for it.
EXCELLENT : The record shows some signs of being played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or slight creasing, but no tears or writing, no major creases or wear.
VERY GOOD : The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Unless stated, all my items are free from tears, writing & stickers.
Shipping:
I send most of my heavier items by courier, often the same day, and a tracking number will be issued to you. Lighter items may be sent via Royal Mail, usually the following day. In both cases you'll be notified when I send your item.
In all cases the shipping cost includes proof of posting & insurance for the value of the item, and if the order value is more than £50 a signature will be required on delivery.
I will try to to reduce shipping costs for winners of multiple items. Please contact me following your wins for a revised rate.
