Description

This is a VG+ condition, rare, promotional only U2 "New Year's Day" 45. It was issued by Island Records and manufactured by WEA Music Of Canada in 1983. Promotional singles were sent to radio stations for airplay and were not made available to the general public. This single has "New Year's Day" on the a-side and "Treasure (Whatever Happened To Pete The Chop)" on the b-side. The label is a b&w Island with Promo Copy Not For Sale printed on it. There are no stickers or writing on the label. This record comes in a standard WEA Music Of Canada paper sleeve (see photo). It has had one owner, a former record company executive who has had it filed away since 1983.
