Description
U2 I WILL FOLLOW SINGLE PROMOTIONAL COPY PR582
Here is a very rare and NM condition copy of U2's "I Will Follow". (3:36) vinyl 33 1/3 rpm. The single from U2's Mini LP "Under A Blood Red Sky" 90127. Made in 1983, Island Records.
This has "I Will Follow" on both sides. PROMOTIONAL COPY NOT FOR SALE is printed on the labels.
ST-PR-45782-2, 1.1 and an S with an R in the top loop and a C in the bottom loop of the S, stamped into the dead wax area.
The word Precision is also stamped into this area, most likely to denote a master demo release pressing, as would be the 3:36 length of the live track. All public release versions of this live track were 3:37.
The sleeve is faded white with just a slight wear on the top middle and corners. Barely noticeable. It has the black promo sticker/label and it is apparent that the black sticker has been placed over the original Under A Blood Red Sky label and was done from the manufacturer as a second thought and it is placed evenly over the other one. The black label sits slightly higher where it is over the other sticker and red has bled through the white lettering on the black sticker/label. Hard to see from the pic, but it is there.
I have owned this since 1985 or so and it has NEVER been played by me.
Have you never seen this before? You most likely never will again. This was only given to a few specific radio stations and those lucky few that have them aren't letting them go.
No buy it now or offers on this, and you should know why.
Thanks for looking.
This will be shipped in padded, crush and bend proof packaging to ensure it arrives in the condition it was posted in.
